Madrone Trail

NOTICE: Part of Madrone Trail is Closed.

We’re really excited to be working with WORD of Comal County to improve the trail signage for way finding and navigating the fee area. Our hope is for the trail to be a thru access into the fee area and the trail will remain fully open. They have some big plans for Canyon Park and we are excited to partner with them to make it amazing.

We need your participation. Until we get signage out there, the trail will remain partially closed. Please do not access the fee area. WORD has agreed to open up the full trail on a trial basis once signage is in place. We are hoping to have this ready before Memorial weekend. We will keep you posted on access. We all need to be respectful. That means, stay on the trail, no lake access, do not use amenities in the fee area, if you see someone breaking the rules please tell them. We can all work together to make this park amazing.

Current park hours are 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
