One of the best things you can do is write your city officials and tell them you want more natural surface trails.
Volunteer opportunities are open to adults and youth, individuals and groups. We always need a variety of skills and time commitments. We survive on the membership dues, donations, grants, perspiration, brains and brawn of people who understand the value of the natural world. So, find a volunteer opportunity or contact us about a project you’re interested in, and let’s get to work!
We frequently need supporters to attend a variety of meetings throughout the region to keep us informed and involved in transportation planning and opportunities to advocate for trails, sidewalks and bike lanes. Meetings include Alamo Area MPO, City of New Braunfels Planning and Zoning, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and City Council meetings, as well as Comal County Meetings. Comal Trails will provide background material and training on an on-going basis. Contact Comal Trails Alliance at info@comaltrails.org for more information.
We are creating a legacy of conservation for the health and vitality of our community that we hope will last for centuries. You can support this effort by joining or making a donation to Comal Trails Alliance. You can also volunteer in our local green spaces, serve on our board or a committee, help us organize events, or voice your support to community leaders and your family and friends.
